The strongest business relationships are fostered on communication, performance and trust. At PalmettoSoft, we constantly strive to maintain this and more. Why? Because simply being in business is a gift in itself, and we always remind our team of that as we push forward. We feel we should never get comfortable with the status quo or ever think “we have arrived.” Once that happens, growth stops and the company is then heading in the wrong direction. Technology will always upgrade; people will come and go in our lives; and our environment will constantly change. Because of this, we will always challenge ourselves to try and do better as time progresses.
We have a 24 hour turnaround policy on all questions and comments from clients and each one of these is treated as its own special case. Some questions require simple answers and others require a team of intelligent people to discuss (for example) in an “issue-to-solution” scenario and all corresponding actions that follow. Information technology (IT) is predicated upon the flow of information between sources and we see this as a pillar of our business model. We also use advanced customer management software (CMR) to track all projects, tasks and communications with clients. In addition, we try and correspond with customers using layman terminology as we realize that most of our audience does not do this for living and needs to clearly understand what is going on at all times. For more technically proficient clients, we will match the conversation to their intellect for the best comprehension level possible.
“I want you to build a larger customer base for my company” says the client. Well… that is a tall order and not a task to be taken lightly. A lot of research, communication, implementation, testing and a multitude of other things need to successfully happen to achieve that goal. Search engine optimization is no longer simply driving more visitors to a website. It now encompasses company branding, marketing strategy integration, content development, website design, usability—and even more. At PalmettoSoft, we take a holistic approach to Internet marketing and try to do the many factors the correct way… the “measure twice and cut once way.” In SEO, ethical work standards are considered “White Hat,” and we always follow those principles. An SEO company should never try to trick the search engines (or website visitors), or a devastating penalty from Google such as a blacklisted domain could ultimately result. Remember, SEO is a marathon and not a sprint. Over time, we want to build more visitors, with an ever increasing chance of them becoming customers (increased conversion). That is how you win the race.
Your vendor should always have your best financial interests in mind. This is just one reason why we don’t overprice campaigns or development work. We mark them up at a reasonable margin with the future intention (i.e. “hope”) of getting more and larger work from the client. We also don’t lock in our clients with lengthy hosting & maintenance plans or saddle them with proprietary technology. Anything we build or develop for you is yours—that includes files, copy, documents, login information, etc… In addition, we are very transparent with the work we do: Before any development work is done, we give the client a detailed estimate and then review it with them so both parties have the same expectations. Over the duration of your time with us, you will see we are ethical and give all of our customers the same level of attention; no matter how large or small their account is.
